Christmas trees in the village

As you may have noticed 2 trees have been put up in Kings Stanley and Selsley by the Parish Council. They were kindly donated by Ryeford Engineering through Councillor Rieger and have been beautifully decorated by Kings Stanley Brownies, Kings Stanley School and Selsley Scout Group.

We hope you all enjoy them as much as us. If you notice any problems, like the lights not working or the tree has fallen over, please contact the clerk on 07498066697.

Covid 19 updates From District councillors and SDC

STROUD DISTRICT COUNCIL.

The arrival of the Omicron variant of Covid-19 has meant a return to stricter contact prevention measures.  Consequently the offices of Stroud District Council are not open in the usual way and a number of  council officers are working from home.

This does not mean that council services are not available. Indeed the majority have been kept working very well. It does mean that procedures and enquiries may take longer than usual.

Village Maintenance

The Parish Council has just had the rope swing bridge repaired after a spate of vandalism, we think you’ll agree it looks great again. we would like to remind everyone that the play equipment is there for all to enjoy but when it is deliberately damaged, repair and replacement comes at a cost which may mean other projects have to be postponed due to lack of funds so we encourage everyone to treat the equipment with respect as well as reporting and vandalism/damage directly to the PC.

We are also in the process of having the MUGA surface repaired so please take care when using the surface.
